Safe Ship Investment Company S.C.A., SICAR is a European Maritime private open ended fund incorporated in Luxemburg on April 18th of 2007 with the purpose to invest in the shipping industry.

The Fund invites private and institutional investors who wish to gain exposure in the shipping industry and benefit directly from the income generated by the ownership of ships without committing large amounts of capital or time.

Safe Ship Investment Company S.C.A., SICAR  is approved and regulated by Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), audited by Pricewaterhouse Coopers and managed by Safe Ship Capital Partners Sarl. The appointed depositary and paying agent is Societe Generale Bank & Trust S.A.

The contemplated operation is a typical private equity operation (venture capital investment), and therefore qualifies as a risk capital investment within the meaning of the CSSF circular 06/241 concerning the concept of risk capital as used in the Law of 15 June 2004 with reference to risk capital investment companies (SICAR).
