Themis Kalapotharakos ("TK"),is co-founder of the fund and managing partner of Safe Ship Capital Partners. He has been an Executive at Remi Maritime Corp. a Piraeus based Ship Management Company, part of the Polemis Group.

Before that he was a shipping professional at Seacrest Shipping Co. Ltd where he was involved in ship management and operations.

TK is a member of the Institute of Petroleum (IPE) in London, holds a Bachelors in International Transport and Maritime Studies from Cardiff University and an MSc in Trade, Transport & Finance from City Business School in London.
