Mr. Souyoutzoglou joined Safe Ship as a Managing Partner in 2009. Mr. Souyoutzoglou has a proven track record of excellence in equity research. As Executive Director at UBS, he headed its Greek equity franchise and was consistently ranked #1 [equity analyst] from 2002 to 2008.

His family has been active in the shipping industry since 1880 with the most recent venture, [Estermar], established in 1977 to own and manage a range of dry bulk carriers. Mr. Souyoutzoglou has closely followed his family’s operations, which include ties to NASDAQ-listed Eagle Bulk Shipping.

Mr. Souyoutzoglou has a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Sociology from the London School of Economics and a Master of Science in Investment Management from Cass Business School in London.
